Online Certificates

A certificate is usually an accelerated training in a professional skill set that enables you to quick launch into a career. Certificates can be pursed for a number of purposes: to start a career without enrolling in undergraduate or graduate school; to enhance a current skill set while employed in the field; to supplant the need for work experience or to simply learn something new even with other prior qualifications.

For most certificates you need to have completed high school successfully. Many employers are willing to hire you with a certification as it means you are a worker with specific skills who will not demand very high wages in comparison to an undergraduate.

Graduate certificates are those that currently employed professionals attain while on the job. These are in great demand and are now sometimes awarded by in house certificate courses. Online training has made this type of certification very successful. Companies that do not conduct their own certificate awarding courses are often willing to reimburse their employees the whole or part tuition fee.

Certifications have short course durations and focus on professional skills. Sometimes you can earn a certificate in counseling or life skill coaching with a week’s workshop. At times, a certificate requires a few months training with different assessment methods.
