Online Bachelor Degrees
A bachelor’s degree is a full time, four year course in a college and university. Usually a bachelor’s consists of 120-126 credit hours, of which, the majority are allotted to your chosen major and the rest are divided between core courses and electives or core courses and a minor.
Most universities offer BA’s (bachelors of Arts) or BSc’s (bachelors of Science). A BA route usually includes majors in humanities, arts, music or fine art. Bachelors of Science degrees focus on areas in science such as life or physical sciences, mathematics and earth sciences. Some universities, however, do not ascribe a BSc to any degree other than those that take an applied or occupational route like criminal justice or finance: professional training.
Online bachelor’s degrees provide a flexible schedule for those who do not have the advantage of dedicating a majority of their four years to a campus. Since a bachelor’s degree has tremendous earning power, most people prefer to pursue a BA or BSc. but many are not fortunate enough to find time. Online degrees are meant to facilitate this.
Often four year degrees, especially those in professional training, are expensive options. There are scholarship or aid options like FAFSA for US citizens. And this four year investment is usually more than worth its returns.
